Kinky hair extensions that mimic natural hair are the ‘new’ trend. Well, they’ve been trending for a minute now. But it is great to see more companies expand past the curly (insertrandomcountry) hair textures. This hair is from Beaute Hair and is made to mimic 4b or 4c natural hair. It’s super soft, fluffy and big. I actually think I could blend my hair with this, but I’m lazy and have not the time. I wear wigs to cover my real hair. But if you’re looking to add a few inches for a couple of months, this will work seamlessly for us kinky ladies.

Now maintenance on this hair is a bit more than if you had straight extensions. It’s kinky curly and coily just like kinky natural hair. You get the shrinkage and the fluff fro-ness all at once. If the hair is rubbing against something it will tangle and the hair does shed. There’s honestly no avoiding that with this texture hair. I would ONLY comb this hair damp, never dry. I always recommend making a wig over sewing in a weave and I couldn’t recommend it any more for kinky extensions. You’ll get a longer wear out of your wig and a lot less maintenance. It’s a win, win with the wigs.

You can use any conditioner to cleanse this hair and it needs no extra product. Soft and supple with a quick co-wash. Beaute Hair also offers a closure in this texture, if you’re looking for a more versatile style.

In the video below, I washed my two bundles of 16″ and one bundle of 14″ hair with the Dark & Lovely Hydrating Soak Shampoo and then let it air dry. I wore it out the house slightly damp and this was the fro I got at the end of the day. I love it.

  1. Is the good for very damaged hair? My hair is naturally curly and fine with that said I have damaged it with flat irons and small braids. I’ve recently started losing my edges and thinning. Are roller sets recommended for the road to recovery and how often should I get them??? HELP. Contact via email: srwarren103@gmail.com
