wenWen by Chaz Dean recently sent me the Wen Spring Gardenia Green Tea Conditioner for a product a review.

Let’s get the details on the product first. The Wen Spring Gardenia Green Tea Conditioner is a sulfate-free. It does have Amodimethicone (an amino infused silicone, that doesn’t build up as fast as most silicones) in it, so it’s not entirely curly girl method friendly. There are ton of long scientific names, and most of them will pull up as organic compounds and/or preservatives.

The instructions on the packaging are some of the MOST thorough I’ve ever seen. Very clear on how the product will respond to your hair and how much you should use. It suggests leaving in hair for up to 5 minutes for maximum conditioning and 1-3 at the minimum. For all hair types, this product left my super kinky hair feeling very soft and moisturized. It’s the type of conditioner I would use prior to a protective style, where I plan on not touching my hair for some time, because it leaves me with a great moisturized foundation.  It can also be used as a leave-in conditioner.

This product is a bit on the pricey side at $40 for a 16oz jar, but Wen is running a special offer via their Facebook page for $29.95, you can find more info here. I was super happy to give this a try and was more than happy with the outcome of my hair.

You can purchase the WEN® Spring Gardenia Green Tea Cleansing Conditioner at directly from Wen or Amazon.com.

Although my curls didn’t come out the way I would have liked them to due to wet hair, I still rocked what I had the entire day. To spice it up and add in a bit of my own style, I tied and old scarf I had up into a bow and this is what I ended up with! I hope you like it!! 😀 Thank you <3
